Module 3

Google Docs
Was first introduced to google docs last year and since then have never looked back. Our faculty resources are all over onto Drive which enables collaboration on tasks like never before. Compatibility was a bit of an issue especially in regards to tables and pictures when transferring documents across but once done has been really beneficial.
In a sport sense, every friday we have our weekly interschool sport competition. In the past would have to write down results and then email to the other school coordinators for collation, a lengthy process. Now with google docs we have one document for the entire competition which can be automatically updated by any of the coordinators immediately. We always have evidence of previous weeks if needed and so on, a great tool.
Editing and sharing rights are easily controlled throughout the set up process, and people can be added along the way also.
In the classroom it is fantastic for group tasks where collaboration and research is required. Teachers have great power as we are able to view documents to make sure on task, can even see who has edited the document and when.
Our PDHPE registers are done on google forms which enables the coordinator to easily collate the information as it is all done for him.
